Fig-Alicious! 101

Figs truly are outstanding fruits.  Believed to originate from the Middle East, they have been and still are a staple food in Greek culture.  They are  also mentioned frequently throughout the Old Testament of the Bible.  In fact, Eve and Adam sewed fig leaves to cover themselves after being dispelled from the Garden of Eden and the twins Romulus and Remus were saved by the roots of a fig tree in the River Tiber.
